The article presents a brief review and analysis of the results of well-known works by T. Malthus (1803), P.-F. Verhulst (1838), N. Foerster, P. M. Mora, L. Amiot (1960) , S. Hoerner (1975) d.), S. P. Kapitsa (1992–2003), V. A. Belavin (1997–2000), who studied various issues of population growth on the planet Earth; the main reasons for the growth and limitation of the population are noted: growth determines the constant property of our development from the very moment of the emergence of mankind, its speed is limited by the ability of man to reproduce; and the environment helps sustain growth. In contrast to the phenomenological model of human development, a new approximate mathematical model of population is proposed, according to which population growth changes in proportion to the total number, above a certain minimum value and the difference between the possible maximum and current values. To calculate the current population, a simple formula has been obtained, the parameters of which are determined by statistical demographic data. The new mathematical model of population is more general than the well-known model of P.-F. Verhulst (1838), and takes into account to a greater extent the peculiarities of the development of mankind. To find the maximum value of the population, a simple approximate formula was obtained that takes into account the actual dynamics of the change in the number at a certain stage of human development. Examples of the application of the new methodology are considered, in particular, the change in the population of Russia over the period from 1796 to 1827 (P.-F. Verhulst, 1838) and calculated values are obtained, which are in good agreement with the actual data; calculations show that there are no anomalies in the rate of population growth over this period. Calculations were made of changes in the world population from 1750 to 2010 (S. P. Kapitsa, 1992) using a new mathematical model and a good agreement between the calculated and actual data was obtained, and the absence of anomalies in the growth rate of the world population over this period was established. The new results make it possible to investigate various issues of sustainable population development, as well as to predict the pace of population development in different countries and the world.

Key words: population, humanity, reproduction, development, limitation, Malthus' law, population growth models, exponential growth, hyperbolic growth, population explosion, phenomenological theory, blow-up regime, differential equation, initial conditions.

Introduction of Azotophyt, microbiological fertilizer, and Bio-Gryadka, biological plant protection product, into growing garden pea (Pisum sativum) was studied in the conditions of vegetative experiment. It was found that the use of biopreparation Azotophyt on the crop is highly effective and significantly increases the growth of plants in height (by 6.5–8.4 cm). Phosphorus-potassium fertilizers contribute to an increase in byproduct yield, and manure contributes to grain yield. The biofertilizer Azotophyt increased the grain yield of peas on the unfertilized soil by 20 %, and against the background of mineral and organic fertilizers – by 17 % and 4%, respectively. The effect of biological protection product Bio-Gryadka on the amount of grain yield was more pronounced on the background without fertilizers. Fertilizers and biological preparations influenced the structure of pea yield: the highest number of pods per plant was formed on the variants with organic fertilization; plant productivity by weight of pods was higher on the variants with manure (69–86 %); Azotophyt influenced the synthesis of pod mass on mineral and unfertilized backgrounds, and Bio-Gryadka worked effectively on the variants without fertilization; more intensive formation of seeds per pod was recorded with a joint application of manure and biopreparation. When growing peas for grain, the use of organic fertilizer system is the most effective, with 20 t/ha of cattle manure. The payback of nutrients will be 10–11 kg of grain per 1 kg of NPK applied .

Keywords: organic farming, Azotophyt, Bio-Gryadka, biopreparations, peas (Pisum sativum), crop yield.

The results of the research prove that the use of an aqueous solution of a complex of microbiological fertilizers (CMF) for soaking seeds before sowing and spraying plants during the growing season (foliar application) leads to an increase in the biological mass of the corn in case of the summer sowing in the conditions of the Central Tajikistan. It can be assumed that as a result of spraying plants, the fertilizer suspension is absorbed by the cells of plant organs, thus having a stimulating effect on the formation of somatic cells in plant organogenesis. This process causes increased plant growth, improved development and formation of a large amount of dry matter in treated plants compared to the control. As a result of the impact of CMF on seeds and vegetative plants, the following indicators of corn have increased root weight (by 2.99 times), stem weight (1.49 times), leaf weight (1.42 times), cob weight (3. 05) and the total weight of plants (2.25 times), compared with the control.

Key words: corn, development indicators, dry weight, control, experience, complex microbiological fertilizer (CMF), Tajikistan.

Biodegradation of white phosphorus has been studied for several years, and considerable data have been acquired in this field. However, the studies to date have been primarily qualitative and descriptive. Quantitative data are essential for further development of this research. Measuring the dynamics of white phosphorus detoxification, as well as comparing the values in sterile medium with those in the presence of growing microorganisms, is the key to clearly demonstrate the fact of biodegradation. This also paves the way for the practical implementation as an industrial method for environmental protection. The experiment presented in this article is the first attempt to quantify the biodegradation of white phosphorus. Although the desired result has not yet been achieved, the experiment made it possible to observe the growth of Aspergillus niger AM1 in the presence of two toxicants simultaneously, white phosphorus and methylene chloride. Additionally, based on the results achieved, the possibility of correcting future experiments to improve their feasibility emerged.

Key words: white phosphorus, methylene chloride, toxicity, synergism, Aspergillus niger.

The fundamental goal of the state environmental policy of the Russian Federation is the conservation of natural ecosystems for the stable development of society, improving public health and ensuring environmental safety. Hygienic regulation of chemical substances in the soil is one of the criteria by which the most favorable and safe amount of parameters of environmental factors for the preservation of optimal life and health of the population is determined. Particularly strict control is necessary for the content of xenobiotics in the soil, in particular pesticides. The scientific substantiation of the hygienic standards of pollutants in soil is based on the development of MPC taking into account such a quantity of substances at which they do not migrate into adjacent environments in excess of the permissible standards and MRLs in crops. The developed scientifically substantiated hygienic standards make it possible to control the use of pollutants without the risk of environmental pollution.

Key words: xenobiotics, pollutants, environment, human health, hygienic regulation.

Speleotherapy methods using salt therapy are quite effective non-drug methods for the treatment of bronchopulmonary pathologies. In the Republic of Belarus, an underground speleological hospital for in-patients is operated on the basis of the potash mine of the Starobinsky deposit and a surface hospital in the city of Soligorsk. A feature of the Belarusian speleo hospital is a special network of air supply ventilation ducts which allow maintaining the constancy of the therapeutic environment at a depth of 420 m, regardless of seasonal climate fluctuations on the surface. A complex of sanitary and hygienic studies and analysis of the parameters of environmental factors in underground medical departments was carried out. Quantitative characteristics of the factors of the speleo-environment during the day and night stay of patients are presented. The issues of formation and maintenance of the stability of the ecosystem of potash mines of the Republic of Belarus during the organization of speleotherapy in them are considered. It has been established that the most important components of the microclimate in the ecosystems of the speleological environment do not experience significant fluctuations, which is of great importance for the effectiveness of treatment.

Key words: the ecosystem of potash mines, speleotherapy, factors of the speleological environment, salt spray, dispersion, aeroionic composition, microclimatic parameters.

Many wild plants have medicinal properties, but not all of them have been sufficiently studied for use not only in folk, but also in official medicine. The paper assesses the biochemical composition of the fruits, shoots and leaves of Ribes nigrum L. Almost all organs of the black currant, especially fruits, contain valuable biologically active substances, in particular vitamins. The wide application of this species in pharmacology and medicine is emphasized. To assess the productivity, a comparative assessment of the fruiting of Ribes nigrum L. in the garden and under natural conditions in the Nesvizh district of the Minsk region of Belarus was carried out, which showed that under natural conditions black currant is more productive. It is also indicated that the number of fruits is influenced by environmental factors and growing conditions.

Floodplain meadows are the most valuable natural fodder lands used for haymaking and grazing. To solve many applied economic problems, it is necessary to study the structure and functioning of populations of fodder plant species. The cenopopulation structure of meadow associations was studied simultaneously with the geobotanical description of herbage and by laying 25 × 25 cm counting plots in ten repetitions according to traditional geobotanical methods. Ecological and floristic analysis was carried out according to the Braun-Blanquet method. The population-ontogenetic analysis of cenopopulations of species-dominants of meadow ecosystems of the floodplain meadow of the Sozh river revealed that the ontogenetic composition of the studied cenopopulations was dominated by middle-aged generative plants (12.5–31.7 plant/m2), young generative plants (4.2–17.3 plant/m2), virginal plants (1.6–18.1 plant/m2). The participation of old generative plants was low (4.4–7.6 plant/m2). In a number of cenopopulations, immature plants were also present in the ontogenetic composition thus indicating the presence of recent seed reproduction and favorable conditions for its development.

Key words: cenopopulation, dominants, generative plants, floodplain, the Sozh river.

The work is devoted to the study of the photosynthetic activity of the leaves of some evergreen trees and shrubs introduced on the Apsheron Peninsula. With the use of modern instrument «Photosintezmeter» Lİ-6400XT, system RC-P60 (2021, made in China, the molar amount of CO2 and water, the temperature index inside and outside the leaf, photosynthetic activity and transpiration rate, relative humidity, and other parameters of the green leaf were determined. It has been established that there is a direct correlation between the absorbed carbon dioxide and the amount of evaporating water emitted and the presence of the relative humidity of the leaf, which are an indicator of the activity of photosynthesis. The accumulated organic compounds are a source of potential energy during intracellular oxidation. The presence of a dense epidermis of eucalyptus and oleander leaves ensures the saving use of water molecules during transpiration.

Monitoring the content of heavy metals is one of the priorities in the assessment of the state of the environment. The article presents the results of a study of the content of heavy metals (Mn, Pb, Fe) during the investigation of the ecological and geochemical state of the top soil under the walnuts in the southern Kyrgyzstan in three natural forestries. An agrochemical analysis of the soils in these zones was also carried out. The concentrations of lead and manganese in the studied soils are below the approximate permissible concentrations, and the amount of iron in some areas is slightly higher than the MPC. The content of the main macroelements (NPK) in the soils of the studied areas corresponds to the background. The upper organic horizon of the top soil has an optimal level of humus content (10–15 %), which indicates the preservation of the natural soil cover in general.

Key words: heavy metals, the soil, top soil, walnut forests.

Elk is the most important hunting resource and biotic element of forest ecological systems. The basis for managing the population of this hunting species is the current assessment of its abundance, which was carried out by the elk route accounting in winter, as well as with the help of aerial observations using Au-30 airships and an airborne monitoring complex. The article analyzes the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors on the state of the elk population in the Bogorodsky urban district of the Moscow region. At the same time, it is revealed that natural factors are favorable for the elk population growth, while anthropogenic factors hinder its development. The negative factors of declining elk population are listed. The traffic accidents are the main cause of elk deaths, and some actions have to be taken. An analysis of the number of the elk in the population showed that its dynamics has recently been positive, after the construction of the A-113 section of the Central Ring Road.

Key words: environmental factors, anthropogenic impact, habitat, elk, population accounting methods, hunting grounds.
