The environment is polluted with heavy metals, first of all with strontium, because it is contained in phosphatic raw materials in the form of ballast elements as well as in phosphogypsum, which is the  production waste. In this article the principal reasons for strontium negative effect on chernozem soils as well as its accumulation in plants and water systems are considered. On the basis of the results of  longstanding research different aspects of strontium behaviour in agrolandscapes soils and in agricultural plants are analyzed in connection with the season, year and soil crossover. The conclusion is made that strontium is gradually accumulated in different elements of landscapes due to waste releases of the plant.

{spoiler title=Открыть реферат статьи}The principal peculiarities of the Kuban river hydrography are described. Water quality and degree of water pollution in the Kuban river and in the Krasnodar water storage reservoir were assessed.  Content of heavy metals, some pesticides and synthetic surface active substances was determined, as well as parameters of the water state such as oxygen regime, amount of suspended substances and organic substances, concentrations of various nitrogen species. The data analysis showed that as of the year 2008 the water in the Kuban river according to water contamination rate can be classified as “clean” (class II) in some of the areas under investigation, while in other areas under investigation the water can be classified as “moderately polluted” (class III). Some sources of negative effect on the water quality were found out. {/spoiler}
